What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and contribute to platform initiatives and project milestones in embedded software development
- Drive architectural projects to success with minimal direction and prepare designs for proposed changes
- Organize and prioritize the software backlog and break down complex tasks for the team
- Facilitate team discussions, design proposals, and conduct code reviews
- Troubleshoot and debug technical problems while maintaining compliance with company policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the “C” programming language on embedded devices
- Proven record of initiating and implementing embedded software architecture and design patterns
- Experience in leading a development team and achieving deliverables independently
- Strong knowledge of formal software development processes and test methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with software lifecycle development for medical device software
- Proficient in embedded software design patterns for low-power consumer devices
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to lead group discussions
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Familiarity with Source Code Management (SCM) tools and processes
