Job Description

- Prepare month-end close journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end flux/account analysis.
- Perform internal controls in compliance with SOX and internal procedures.
- Partner with the sales department to ensure completion of invoicing and proper revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with accounting management to implement changes to processes as necessary.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual census surveys.
- Provide support to internal and external auditors, assisting in audits and regulatory review.
- Conduct ad hoc projects as required by management.
- Actively participate in building a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience; responsibility for company general ledger, cost accounting, and financial statements preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably ORACLE).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate.
- Willingness to challenge conventional thinking for the betterment of the company.
Senior Staff Accountant – Steel Manufacturing Business
Cascade Steel is a leading manufacturer of finished steel products such as rebar, coiled reinforcing bar, and wire rod, servicing primarily West Coast construction markets.
The Senior Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Supervisor and plays an important role on our Operations Accounting team. The position will support all aspects of accounting for our steel manufacturing business.
Salary Range $80K – $90K
