Job Description

- Provide technical guidance and give trainings to distribution partners (10%)
- Responsible for supporting IoT customers’ issues (50%)
- oftware integration support on various operating systems (Windows/Linux/Android) and different HW platforms
- Field issues and certification issues
- Ensure local interface with PC OEM customers, Semtech overseas development teams, customer project manager regarding customer support tasks (40%)
- Required to report customer project information to team regularly.
- Bachelor’s degree in communication and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Having at least 5 years of Field Application Engineering experience of semiconductor or equivalent practical experience, (HW/SW basic knowledge, customer issue troubleshooting, coordinating stake holders’ skills, customer project management skill)
- Language: Fluent Japanese and English of both written and spoken English
- Ability to travel alone – occasionally with short notice (Domestic/Foreign Country)
- Required proactiveness to visit customer site to close issue immediately.
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor. Self-Motivated Learning
- Advanced problem-solving skills (Have logical knowledge to isolate technical issue and minimize procedure to reproduce the customer issue)
- Experience in Cellular technology (3G/4G/5G) / Wi-Fi is a plus.
- Experience in IP protocol stack field (TCP/UDP IP and HTTP).
- Skills in complex systems design including expertise in Windows, Linux and Android
- Windows driver mechanism deep knowledge and BIOS knowledge is plus
