      Main duties of the job

      About us

      Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital. The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our ward cardiology team. We have a hybrid Cath lab which operates three days a week preforming ablations, angioplasty, device insertion and cardioversions. We run a nurse led cardiology pre assessment service and a cardiac stress MRI service for our patients. Your role will be to proactively deliver effective and safe personal care to a high standard for patients in a calm, caring and compassionate manner. You will also need good interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a close-knit multidisciplinary team. It is important that you are motivated, flexible and have enthusiasm for cardiology.
