What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the architecture and development of distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems for secure data movement across multi-cloud and hybrid storage environments
- Design and implement high-performance data transfer pipelines capable of managing large volumes of data
- Address challenges in system consistency, data integrity, and fault recovery to meet enterprise-grade SLAs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, project timelines, and deliverables
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices and methodologies for distributed systems
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years focused on distributed systems for data migration or synchronization
- Strong understanding of various storage systems and protocols, including NFS, CIFS, S3, and cloud services
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C++
- Proven track record of building fault-tolerant systems ensuring data durability and availability
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Atempo Miria, AWS DataSync, or similar data management solutions
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and best practices for data security
- Prior experience in leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams
