Description

The Staff Writer, Luxury Publications, assists with writing articles and other content for Luxury Portfolio, Luxury Daily and all their platforms, including Luxury Portfolio magazine, LuxeTrends blog, research reports, marketing collateral and more. This position is vital in assisting to develop newsworthy and timely content across all companies and collaborating with team members across all divisions across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Luxury Portfolio

• Writing articles for Luxury Portfolio magazine
• Assist with article ideation for LuxeTrends blog that resonates with target audiences and align with editorial goals
• Conduct source interviews to gather insightful perspectives and expert opinions to enhance content credibility and depth.
• Write white papers and reports that are concise and easily digestible

Luxury Daily

• Write content for reoccurring series that resonates with target audiences, positioning the publication as a thought leader in the luxury space.
• Act as daily writer during periods of PTO or other absences, ensuring a seamless continuation of editorial processes and maintaining the high quality of content production.

Reliance Relocation Enterprise

• Assist on enterprise level with content creating and article writing when needed
• Assists with writing social media captions when needed for all social media handles within the enterprise

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or communications roles, preferably in the luxury or real estate industry.
• Experience in developing and implementing content strategies that drive audience engagement
• Strong track record of producing high-quality, impactful content under tight deadlines.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a media, publishing, or communications-related industry.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Have excellent grammar, punctuation, and overall writing abilities to create engaging, error-free content. Experienced with AP style a plus; skilled in editing own work and that of others.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with other departments
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Conditions of Work:

• Flexible work hours may be necessary when facing project deadlines
• Limited travel may be required

Please note our Chicago-based employees have a hybrid work arrangement. Employees in other cities work fully remote.
