What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule and reassign staff to ensure qualified and cost-efficient staffing for patient care needs
- Communicate regularly with unit-based leadership and staffing colleagues about resource requirements
- Engage with patient care colleagues to enhance flexibility and availability for shifts
- Enter accurate scheduling and timekeeping information into scheduling software
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staffing clerks while recommending policy changes as needed

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of staff scheduling experience
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in at least one word processing and one spreadsheet software
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in hospital healthcare scheduling
- Additional formal clerical and computer training
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, and fax machines
- Experience working in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
