      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide expert guidance on remote sensing data and applications to branch partners
      - Collaborate with forest professionals to explore and apply the latest remote sensing technologies
      - Support the forest inventory program through advanced research and technology
      - Work with forest inventory spatial and attribute databases, including lidar enhanced forest inventories
      - Utilize geospatial software and databases to analyze and process data

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Master’s degree in a natural resource discipline and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with remote sensing; OR Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years’ experience
      - Minimum five (5) years of experience working with forest inventory spatial and attribute databases
      - Minimum three (3) years of experience with lidar enhanced forest inventories
      - Proficiency in digital image/GIS processing and multi-spectral analytical techniques
      - Experience with geospatial software and databases, including programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Oracle, and MS Access
      - Familiarity with Google Earth Engine
      - Previous work in a government or public service environment
      - Knowledge of the BC Public Service hiring process
      - Understanding of Indigenous issues in relation to natural resources
