- Temporary opportunity for up to 12 months
- Coordinate delivery of integrated internal and external communication plans.
- Support Strategic Communications team and client portfolio.
- To keep the communications plans on track throughout the year and minimise “scope creep” while being flexible enough to adapt the agreed plans to suit the inevitable changing needs.
- To work with your team and meet with your business unit/s regularly to report on progress, challenges and opportunities.
- To work with your manager to ensure plans remained aligned with both the Department of Customer Service strategy and the overall communications strategy.
- Part of this role will include hands on internal communications for your Business Unit. You will work closely with subject matter experts across the Department of Customer Service to deliver content that is user friendly and fit for purpose.
- Excellent communication skills who is confident in all areas of marketing and communications and able to help find solutions that meet the needs of sometimes competing agendas.
- Strong and collaborative relationships with both the Brand, Digital and Communications team and your dedicated Business Units.
- Your peer relationships within the Brand, Digital and Communications team will enable you to stay across all areas of communications activity.
Advisor- Strategic Communications, Temporary (Grade 7/8), flexible working arrangements, located in Sydney with Hybrid working arrangements.
Department of Customer Service is looking for an energetic, organised self-starter to support the Strategic Communications team.
Working in an agency style, you will support a team of Managers and Senior Advisors to coordinate the delivery of integrated business unit communications plans and will act as a conduit to the broader Brand, Digital and Communications team. As a team player you’ll be ready and willing to help your team when they need it to ensure communications projects stay on time, on budget and deliver to objectives. You’ll be supported to succeed and will receive on the job training and mentorship from across the team.

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $101,947 base plus superannuation.
