      Strategic Investments Group- Program Management Team

      Summary

      The Strategic Investments Group (“SIG”) connects the different lines of business of the Commercial Bank with institutional capital to create partnerships that expand our capabilities and make Capital One more relevant to customers. SIG has created numerous partnerships that cover over $10.5B in assets. SIG also supports select Commercial Initiatives such as strategic asset sales and equity investments.

      This role is responsible for the management of large and complex strategic programs across Capital One Commercial Bank. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the execution of various end-to-end activities of one or more active programs, primarily Unitranche & Strategic Investor Programs (“SIPs”), across all functions within Capital One, external investors, various third parties, and vendors.

      Financial Management Responsibilities

      • Day-to-day management

        • Deal by deal: partner with SIG Originations to orchestrate the funding process (new deal & secondary draws), facilitate the workstream that ensures all transactions are timely and accurately reflected by various third party vendors, and ensure documentation completeness and archiving

        • Review of daily cash reports for accuracy, triage questions from various teams and ensure resolution (internal and external to Capital One)

      • Coordinate and review of key financial workstreams

        • Waterfall distributions (quarterly or monthly cadence), sr. debt prepayments & sr. debt protections

        • Partner with Controllership to review financial statements, third party reporting and Operations booking of deals

        • Lead preparation of equity sufficiency analysis

        • Coordinate various analysis with Capital One Tax, 3rd party investor Tax & external tax preparers for individual loans, and preparation of state and other tax returns

        • Manage Murex trades & premium payments

      • Forward looking management

        • Support financial forecast and budget for strategic programs (Volumes, pipeline, margins, costs, reserves, impairment analysis, capital allocation), as necessary

        • Participate in pricing model updates (cost absorption, capital allocation), as necessary

      • Infrastructure build

        • Continuously develop solutions to streamline various processes… equity sufficiency analysis, invoice standard operating procedure (SOP), waterfall distribution process

        • Coordinate with the Tech organization to build automated tools, reports, and dashboards to manage the exposure of strategic programs (Snowflake, RPA, etc.)

      Program Management Responsibilities

      • Partner with the Marketing & Analytics organization to aid in automation efforts for all Unitranche program management processes

      • Central point of contact with all functions to all inquiries on the Unitranche programs including external financial auditors, credit review, internal auditors, regulators, senior management, etc.

      • Orchestrate necessary modifications to all agreements with legal and development team

      • In coordination with the SIG Legal team, supervise legal standing and licenses in all applicable jurisdictions

      • Develop and maintain product SOPs, controls and standards in coordination with key partner groups

      • Partner with the various SIG associates & key partner groups to ensure integration with all downstream credit, reporting and decision making systems, tools & processes

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

      • At least 5 years’ experience in leveraged finance, commercial banking, capital markets or investment banking

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 6+ years of experience in portfolio management

      • 6+ years of experience in commercial lending operations

      • 6+ years of experience in project management

      • 6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis

      • Google Suite and Microsoft Applications experience
