      The Strategic Planning Mgr - Routines is responsible for owning and leading the Growth & Generosity (G&G) division routine ecosystem inclusive of (but not limited to) strategic plan performance management, portfolio and KPI progress, quarterly reviews, enterprise reporting and internal/external communication. Through an ongoing sequence of division meetings and routines, this position will facilitate forums to drive forward the management of the Growth & Generosity strategic plan in service of the enterprise Growth Playbook. In addition, this role will own the holistic strategic plan communication framework, utilizing best channels, tactics, and timelines that streamline messaging cadences and content for most effective dissemination across the enterprise and into key internal and external forums. Integration across the division, with the product operating model teams and among enterprise partners is critical to success. This will be a highly visible role at top levels of the organization requiring strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to effectively guide and facilitate complex conversations, and strong proficiency generating compelling narratives that clearly articulates progress against strategy.

      The Strategic Planning Mgr – Routines is a member of the Growth & Generosity (G&G) strategic planning team which is responsible for the development, implementation, management, and adjustment of the holistic Growth and Generosity (G&G) Strategic Plan.

      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Lead Routine Ecosystem Management: Collaborate closely with the Dir, G&G Strategic Planning and Deputy Chief of Staff, to oversee the Growth & Generosity division's routine ecosystem, ensuring effective strategic plan performance management, portfolio progress tracking, and quarterly reviews. Drive internal and external communication strategies, including enterprise reporting and cross-functional collaboration.

      • Facilitate Strategy Forums: Create, manage, and facilitate strategy forums, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings, to foster alignment and translate strategy into actionable roadmaps. Play a key role in planning and coordinating senior leader sessions and offsites, facilitating meetings to ensure strategic alignment across teams.

      • Build Cross-Enterprise Partnerships: Establish and nurture cross-enterprise partnerships, leading collaboration opportunities to develop and manage joint initiatives. Develop interaction models within the division and across enterprise partnerships to empower teams and enable effective strategy execution.

      • Develop Portfolio and KPI Standards: Partner with Clients, Analytics, Measurement and Reporting to build portfolio and KPI standards, measuring progress against strategy and influencing enterprise KPI reporting requirements. Own organizational activities related to the routine ecosystem, ensuring seamless content sequencing, meeting logistics, and communication.

      • Manage Strategic Plan Communication: Own the holistic strategic plan communication framework in partnership with the Dir, G&G Strategic Planning and Deputy Chief of Staff, utilizing best channels, tactics, and timelines for effective dissemination across the enterprise and key internal and external forums. Generate compelling strategy narratives for strategy forums and develop impactful content for management reviews and strategic planning roundtables.

      • Oversee Risk Management: Manage the business risk management process for Growth and Generosity, collaborating with the Strategic Planning team to develop risk management reports and report risks to the enterprise on a quarterly cadence. Continuously refine communication strategies to align with evolving stakeholder requirements and organizational objectives routines to best enable the strategy working across business and product operating model teams.

      • Enhance Strategy Planning Communication: Collaborate closely with the Dir, G&G Strategic Planning and Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications to develop and advocate for a compelling narrative of the Growth and Generosity Strategy within the enterprise and for the Board of Directors. Ensure seamless alignment of communication efforts with strategic objectives, effectively conveying the division's vision and progress to key stakeholders for maximum impact.

      • Provide Leadership in Communication: Offer comprehensive oversight to multiple communication platforms for the ecosystem. Take charge of leading the development of impactful presentations, leveraging excellent visualization skills in PowerPoint. Work collaboratively to craft and refine messages in the voice and style of senior leaders, ensuring clarity and resonance. \

      • Drive Continuous Improvement in Communication Strategies: Stay abreast of the latest trends in strategic communication, consistently seeking opportunities for enhancement. Lead initiatives to continuously refine communication strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder requirements while maximizing effectiveness and engagement.

      QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

      Required:

      • 5-7+ years strategic planning governance and communication experience or related experience with a broad understanding of strategy.

      • College degree in business, or related field; masters a plus but not required.

      • Excellent visualization skills in PowerPoint and other tools.

      • Strong facilitation with verbal communication strength.

      • Experience working collaboratively and influentially with senior management, cross functional teams, and individuals from across the organization.

      • Highly organized and ability to work independently and effectively to manage multiple projects simultaneously in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities and rapid change.

      • Possesses strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically.

      Preferred:

      • Team leadership & management.

      • Smartsheet, Jira, and/or other project/strategy planning software a plus.

      • Experience working with product operating model.

      • Knowledge of internal and external business, technology, financial services, and marketing trends and developments.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $115,224.00 - $155,891.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
