What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare as-built drawings from existing buildings
- Evaluate the structural systems in existing buildings, including damaged structures
- Create drawings and specifications using building codes and industry standards
- Research historical and current building codes and apply necessary code upgrades
- Conduct field assessments, including working from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and rooftops
- Investigate and assess conditions to determine appropriate repair solutions for structural systems
- Complete design assignments for upgrades, maintenance, and restoration of existing buildings

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required, with a preference for a Structural license
- 4+ years of experience in structural design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with appreciation for Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
