What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop engaging content for social media platforms including X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
- Promote GFI events through newsletters, an active website, and in-person engagement
- Write longer-form materials such as faculty profiles, student brochures, and research project summaries
- Support the creation of a strong GFI community through innovative communications and events
- Assist in staffing GFI events, capturing photo and video content
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Previous skills, training, or experience in marketing and communications
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience with designing and posting social media content
- Proficiency in tools such as Drupal, Hootsuite, Emma, MS Office, and Google Drive
- Demonstrated time management, organizational, and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience using Canva or other graphic design software
- Previous involvement in events or activities related to food policy or sustainability
