      Anticipated Hours Per Week

      Schedule:

      We offer flexible schedules for students and are looking for a commitment during the academic year of 10-15 hours per week (M-F during normal business hours). We are interested in students who can start in academic year 24-25 and have an interest in potentially continuing into summer 2025.

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      WiCell, a leading non-profit stem cell services institute and supporting organization of UW–Madison, seeks a Student Lab Assistant to join our collaborative team and help uphold the reputation of quality and excellence for which we are known. This Lab Assistant will prepare materials and paperwork; maintain inventory, equipment, and reagents; and assist with additional lab and administrative activities.

      Work will be performed in a typical laboratory and office environment. We offer flexible schedules for students and are looking for a commitment during the academic year of 10-15 hours per week (M-F during normal business hours). We are interested in students who can start in academic year 24-25 and have an interest in potentially continuing into summer 2025. There is a possibility of increasing weekly hours during the summer based on business needs.

      Qualifications:

      Applicants must be current undergraduate students. One year of laboratory experience is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments; follow established policies and procedures to complete tasks; maintain a high level of confidentiality; and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, reliability, and responsibility. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting are also required.

      WiCell is located at 504 S. Rosa Road in Research Park on the west side of Madison. Starting student rate is $15/hour.
