What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research activities using archives, libraries, and online sources
- Draft reports or summaries for the Principal Investigator (PI)
- Assist with administrative tasks related to research projects
- Support experiments, coding, data entry, and data cleaning
- Create graphs and figures for research documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a student with a Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the current school year
- Entry-level position; little to no experience required
- Familiarity with the subject area of anthropology or related fields is beneficial
- Ability to work during standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm)
- Must pass a background check due to access to sensitive information

- Experience with research methodologies or administrative tasks in an academic setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in data analysis software or tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in the study of history, particularly related to the international slave trade
