      The opportunity

      Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Social Media and Marketing Assistant to the Safe Sports Network in Manchester, NH. Student will support Safe Sports Network with its social media and marketing programs. In collaboration with the Development and Communications Manager you will be responsible for supporting marketing and communications on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and others) and the creation of digital assets, including travel to off-site locations to collect video and photo media.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • The work will include various media tasks, including collecting video recordings and taking photographs for media content. Tasks will require travel to off-site locations (i.e. schools during practice and game times).
      • Support creation of materials (photos, videos, etc.) for social media platforms; May include posting on social media platforms.
      • Collaborate with Development and Communications Manager on projects and events, including communications to donors, student ambassadors, and other volunteers.
      • Help with creation of digital and printed collateral including event materials, direct mail, newsletters, and infographics.
      • Assist with developing and collecting content for monthly e-newsletters and quarterly impact videos, including actually recording videos and taking photographs for use in materials.
      • Support tracking of metrics on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
      • Perform other duties as assigned by staff managers.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
      • Work study part of financial aid package
      • Students with work study may be prioritized
      • Reliable transportation
      • Interest in social media, video content, and photography
      • General knowledge and/or enthusiasm for the program mission of Safe Sports Network

      Learning Outcomes:

      • Exposure to video, photo and other media creation and dissemination
      • Improvement with communication skills
      • Increase experience with logistics and event planning
      • Hone organizational and time management skills
      • Gain exposure and knowledge of inner workings of non-profit organizations

      Work Schedule: Flexible, with afternoons preferred M-F; plus occasional special events; Approx. 10-12 hours/week.

      Compensation

      The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
