      As a Sales Intern, you will assist the sales team in achieving our growth objectives for Datalinx products. Your responsibilities will include creating sales leads, initiating prospect emails, conducting competitive analysis and following up on leads. The role is aligned with the sales and marketing organizations in support of data-driven revenue generation efforts and will provide the candidate with deep insight into growth-oriented sales organizations.

      Reports to: Head of Sales, TMX Datalinx

      Key Accountabilities:

      • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects by conducting research to find new leads

      • Email prospects to qualify the lead; identify decision makers to begin sales process

      • Data mining from multiple sources to build actionable lead lists to be used in prospecting

      • Implement A:B testing with different outreach techniques to uncover insights into most effective techniques (use a data-driven approach to analyze outreach techniques)

      • Analyze competitor communication techniques to advise and provide recommendations to marketing team

      Must haves:

      • Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with analytical and technical ability
      • Passion for leveraging and interpreting data to drive significant business impact

      • Critical thinking skills to recognize patterns and anomalies in data and arrive at new conclusions based upon findings

      • Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize projects with conflicting deadlines

      • Effective interpersonal skills both verbal and written to communicate sophisticated findings and ideas in logical, easy to understand and actionable language

      • A team player with the ability and desire to collaborate optimally with stakeholders

      • Knowledge of sophisticated Excel, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and working with data

      • Curiosity about financial markets, tools and data

      Nice to have:

      • Experience working in a data driven digital sales & marketing environment

      Note:

      • Hybrid role: 2-3 days per week in the downtown Toronto office

      • 4 month Co-op / Internship: May 6, 2024 - August 23, 2024
