Job Duties and Responsibilities We are seeking an Aspiring or Experienced Drone Pilot to help with our 5G tower buildout. Using the provided drone they will capture images of cell tower sites which will be sent to the QA teams to analyze and create 3d models. In this role, you will: This is a remote position where you will use the company provided work vehicle to travel throughout the U.S. to complete technical site inspections and equipment surveys of telecom equipment on towers and rooftops. Most travel will be regionally based on home location, applicants must reside within a 2 hour drive time of home location Survey, map, and inspect wireless towers using drones Maintain drone and battery systems by keeping them in optimal working condition so each project can be completed safely and efficiently Field work to include documenting structural elements (generally cell antennas, radios, and structural components) Support Wireless Network Disaster Recovery efforts to include using drones to assess damage, repairs, along with basic ground checklists of cabinet equipment to restore the network Support the National Tower Special Operations Team with Technical support, Non-technical projects, and any or all other duties/tasks assigned in support of launching Dish’s 5G Network Skills, Experience and Requirements Successful Drone Pilot candidates have: Previous tower or wireless experience is preferred, but not a requirement Remote Position will require individuals to have excellent time management skills, great communication, proactively plans and prepares, and is task driven to meet goals Ability to fly drones on tower sites and ground scan various structure installations and rooftops in congested urban and city areas Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time Have a place to park provided work vehicle Hold or be able to obtain within 14 calendar days upon hire a Current FAA Part 107 certification OSHA 10 certification; First Aid/CPR certification Valid State Issued Driver’s License Education: High School Diploma or GED certificate Ideal Drone Pilot candidates have: Experience in FEMA DHS FAA Part 107 certification Compensation: $27.00/Hour Salary Range Compensation: $27.00/Hour Compensation and Benefits We also offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits.
