What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, evaluate, plan, test, and operate mechanical equipment and systems for military and commercial applications
- Create mechanical designs and drawings, and perform precise calculations
- Develop and test prototypes to ensure functionality and address issues
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for leadership review
- Conduct obsolescence evaluations and assist in finding suitable replacements for equipment

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Steam and Auxiliary systems, including mechanical/electrical system design and maintenance
- Active DoD security clearance at SECRET level or the ability to obtain one
- Proficiency with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with detailed specifications under configuration management
- Prior experience interfacing with US military technical representatives
- Familiarity with equipment suppliers and vendors
- Shipboard experience as an operator/maintainer
