    • Full-Day Rate: $175 (7.5 hours, including a 30-minute duty-free lunch)

    • Half-Day Rate: $90 (up to 3.5 hours / 210 minutes)

    • Long-Term Assignments (21+ consecutive days in same assignment): $190/day

    • A valid California Teaching Credential, or

    • A valid California Substitute Teaching Permit, or

    • Eligibility for a Substitute Teaching Permit, which includes:

      • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher), and

      • Fulfillment of the Basic Skills Requirement, such as:

        • Passing scores from CBEST, SAT, ACT, or

        • Successful completion of college-level coursework in English, Reading, Writing, and Math (reflected on an official transcript)

      Join the 2024–2025 Substitute Teacher Pool!

      The Lucia Mar Unified School District is seeking qualified, dedicated, and flexible educators to join our pool of substitute teachers for the 2024–2025 school year. Positions are available across all grade levels and include both General and Special Education settings.

      Compensation:

      • Full-Day Rate: $175 (7.5 hours, including a 30-minute duty-free lunch)

      • Half-Day Rate: $90 (up to 3.5 hours / 210 minutes)

      • Long-Term Assignments (21+ consecutive days in same assignment): $190/day

      Minimum Qualifications:

      To apply, candidates must possess one of the following:

      • A valid California Teaching Credential, or

      • A valid California Substitute Teaching Permit, or

      • Eligibility for a Substitute Teaching Permit, which includes:

        • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher), and

        • Fulfillment of the Basic Skills Requirement, such as:

          • Passing scores from CBEST, SAT, ACT, or
