Summer 2024 - Industrial Design Intern in GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

Summary: Will work in a collaborative environment with a team of designers, engineers and craftspeople that will develop every aspect of the interior, including objects, interface, seating, and lighting.

Functions:

1. Research and conceptualize design solutions

2. Collaborate on and execute design projects with engineers and external research partners

3. Create design drawings and documents for design packages for the interior and all interior components such as, latches, doors mechanisms, drawer mechanisms, etc.

4. Prototype solutions through both physical and digital mockups

5. Work within the organization to build a unified design strategy, while interacting with outside research teams

6. Explore new technologies in materials and sensor-based systems

7. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to execute on overall project objectives, deliverables, and timelines

8. Be able to create and give design presentations

Education:

1. Pursuing a degree in Industrial Design or related major.

2. Graduate after August 2024 for this internship.

3. Must have reliable transportation for the duration of the internship.

4. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. GPA must be listed on submitted resume. Freshman should provide their high school GPA.
