      What You Will Be Doing

      The Accounting Intern will support Accounting department leadership and team members on various ad-hoc projects, reports and financial analyses. The intern will gain experience throughout Accounting through assigned project work and on the job training. This internship is for Summer 2024 (6/10/2024 - 8/30/2024), and is based in Denver, CO.

      Essential Functions

      • Delivery of timely and accurate revenue and expense results for month-end close financial reporting
      • Investigation of variances in month-end analytics
      • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations in a timely matter
      • Post monthly accruals based on GAAP guidelines for company revenue and expenses
      • Conduct ad-hoc projects, reports and financial analyses as determined by senior manager

      Job Requirements

      • Must be available to work part-time or full-time for 4 months
      • Must be currently pursuing an Accounting degree
      • Preference given to candidates that have completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate-level coursework or to those enrolled in a graduate program

      Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

      • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
      • Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned projects
      • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
      • Demonstrated understanding of basic economic, financial and accounting principles
      • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
      • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
