      Job Summary

      As a vital member of our collaborative and interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in supporting human-centered UX research initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass aiding in the planning and execution of user research studies, participant recruitment, and the generation of insightful reports. Your contributions will directly contribute to enhancing the digital user experience by translating findings into actionable improvements.

      The minimum commitment is 20-35 hours a week, Monday through Friday, beginning June 3, 2024 through August 23, 2024.

      Essential Functions

      Research

      • Assist in planning and conducting user research studies, including surveys, moderated usability testing and generative interviews, and participant recruitment.
      • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative results and produce actionable insights.
      • Create clear and concise reports summarizing research findings.

      Collaboration

      • Work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to integrate user feedback into the design and development process.
      • Assist with the maintenance of the UX Research Repository to make insights accessible to teams across UFCU.
      • Shadow conversations with Marketing and Data Analytics to gain an understanding of how insights from UX Research can support these teams.

      Requirements

      • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
      • Complete required regulatory training as assigned.
      • Maintain strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations and internal controls specific to your role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.

      Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

      • Some experience moderating usability tests and generative research sessions.
      • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative UX research methods.
      • Basic understanding of the user-centered design process.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate concepts clearly and convincingly to leadership.

      Experience

      Minimum Requirements

      • Currently enrolled as a full-time student with UFCU’s partner accredited college or universities
      • High School Diploma or equivalent
      • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
      • Must be bondable

      Preferred Requirements

      • Currently seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Information Science, or a related field.
      • Proficiency with remote user testing tools such as UserZoom, UserTesting, Lookback, etc.

      • Frequent computer use at a workstation up to two hours at a time.
