- The hourly rate range for Tarrytown, NY, Sleepy Hollow, NY, Armonk, NY, Basking Ridge, NJ & Rensselaer, NY is: $17.90-$50.90 per hour.
If you’re a student pursuing a Masters or PhD in Education in Training Development, , Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Organizational Development or related, you may be a fit for an internship in our Commercial Training department.
Project #1 (Tarrytown, NY - Fully Remote)
This position will be a Full Time Remote Summer Internship position and work with the Commercial Training - Immunology team supporting DUPIXENT. The student will be working on projects that pertain to the training function. This can include projects in instructional design, needs assessment, micro-learnings, training analytics, adult learning, facilitation, curriculum design and assessments.
The Commercial Training Summer Intern will gain hands-on experience in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This individual will gain an understanding of multiple roles and functions in a Commercial Training department. The intern will be directly involved with assisting training managers with Curriculum Development. This may include designing, developing, and recommending training curricula and workshops based on adult learning principles for our commercial field teams. The intern will also learn the importance of collaboration across both internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
The intern will work with subject matter experts to design and develop materials and training workshops. The intern’s skills and career goals will be considered when determining what projects will be the best fit and provide the best summer internship experience.
Project #2 (Rensselaer, NY - Onsite)
We're looking for a student who is interested in engaging with evaluating Adult Education techniques and onboarding strategies within our current onboarding processes. Our specific project will initially involve review of the current practices of the onboarding team; in the classroom, learning lab, and office. Following this evaluation, we'd look to see a comparison with current adult educational theory and any proposals for future alternative methodologies/modalities.
Our department currently serves to train a range of employee backgrounds, from recent college graduates to industry vets, employing a variety of read and acknowledge, computer based, instructor led, and on the job trainings. These trainings serve to lay the foundation for new employees over a variety of tracks, and run from 2-7 weeks, prior to them starting with their designated teams in manufacturing, cleaning, support and facilities.

Project #3 (Rensselaer, NY - Onsite)
This position is in the dynamic Technical Training Department based in Rensselaer, NY. As an intern for the eLearning team, you will focus on creating immersive virtual reality experiences that can be used for various applications, including training, simulations, and interactive storytelling. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge VR technology and contribute to the development of VR solutions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a real-world setting while making a tangible impact by creating immersive VR experiences for our training materials. - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Interactive Media, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of VR development tools and platforms such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
- Knowledge of VR hardware such as Meta Quest, HTC Vive, or similar.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be enrolled in an academic program pursuing a Masters or PhD in Training and Development, Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction or related degree. Skilled in MS Office Suite. A passion for education and interest in science is desired. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred. We want someone who is able to commit to 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks from the end of May/ early June through August. Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or within the community is also preferred.
