- This role will be onsite in San Diego, CA - and will be in the office 3 days a week
- Full-time (36 hours) work during normal business hours
- Applicants for this position should have completed at least two years of law school (a rising 3L is preferred, but rising 2L applicants will also be considered).
- While health law experience is not required, it would be considered a plus.
- Prior legal internship or experiential business-focused clinic during their law school education a plus
- Interested applicants must submit a cover letter along with their application.
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as contracts, memos, and briefs.
- Ability to effectively communicate findings, ideas, and recommendations orally and in writing.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Meeting deadlines and managing time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
- Basic understanding of corporate law principles and concepts.
- Interest in learning about the daily activities and responsibilities of corporate counsel.

Details About This Specific Position:
The Summer Associate, Legal & Compliance intern will aid in conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, attending meetings, providing redlines, and observing negotiation calls. The intern will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of law, which is different from the theoretical concepts taught in law school. The intern will receive feedback on their projects and drafting skills and learn about a corporate counsel's daily activities, including the reasons behind them. The intern will be exposed to a variety of legal areas, including contracts, employment, and compliance.
