- ASA Member Leadership Essentials (AMLE) course program and supplemental resource development.
- Project management of member leadership (e.g., BOD, HOD, committee and editorial board members) surveying and data analysis.
- Resource development of governance pages at the ASA Insider (ASA’s intranet), possible development of a “governance hub”.
- Manage the application cycles for medical student delegates, medical student and resident officers, and awards.
- Distribute communications for student and resident events in conjunction with the ASA Annual Meeting.
- Research the needs of emerging cohorts (first generation physician, underrepresented in medicine, international medical graduate) and brainstorm recommendations for engagement.
- Collaborate with medical student and resident secretaries to review existing website content to suggest edits or additions.
- Provide administrative and project support to the department staff as needed such as facilitating communications with staff and members, updating contact information, requesting information, etc.
- Nonprofit and/or volunteer experience helpful.
- Detail oriented, strong customer service skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication required.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Paid internship.
- 10-12-week commitment (during summer).
- Interns will work approximately 28 hours per week.
- Interns will be closely managed/mentored by their hiring manager.
- Interns will receive feedback regarding their work and performance.
- Students must be enrolled in a college/university.
- Students must interview with Human Resources and the Manager/Director who will be responsible for overseeing the work.
- Students must intern in an area which is related to their academic major and degree.

This position can be located in our corporate headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, or remote. This part-time, seasonal position will offer challenging work/project(s) within an exciting industry. Position Compensation:
This position is an hourly or exempt/salaried position. The pay for this position is $16.00 per hour (undergraduate) and $18.00 per hour (graduate program). This position is not eligible for benefits or a yearly bonus/incentive.
