Temporary: July 28 - August 8, 2025; 8 Hours per day

Pay Range : $14.00 to $17.60 hourly

The `Iolani Summer Teacher’s Aide Program offers those interested in careers in education the opportunity to gain experience and mentoring in a school setting. Teacher’s Aides are respected professionals and add value to every program they support.

The `Iolani Summer Programs includes a variety of daily enrichment courses in the arts, athletics, STEM, and academics. Summer classes offer students an opportunity to develop their knowledge and curiosity through experiential learning.

• Desire to foster an environment in which students feel safe to investigate curriculum, discover the world in which they live, and learn about themselves.
• Effective and appropriate communication with supervisors, peers, faculty, students, and parents.

• A proactive sensibility and willingness to seek support when needed.

• Skilled in organization, innovation and problem-solving.
• Proficient in Google applications as well as a willingness and ability to learn new computer applications.

• Extended periods of sitting, generally performs work from a desk, and/or stands and walks.
• Ability to see and hear with or without correction.
• Ability to lift, carry, reach overhead above shoulders, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
• Work is generally performed Monday through Friday during normal business hours; however, evening and weekend hours are often required to meet responsibilities.
• Due to work in close proximity to children, the selected candidate must undergo fingerprint background check and submit proof of TB clearance required.
