THE ROLE:

Working with our Unconventional Center of Excellence (UCOE) Geoscience team in Calgary, this will be a full-time student position from May to September 2024. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

• Collaborate with geomodeler to generate model and cross section
• Collaborate with Senior Petrophysicist to analyze log data
• Work towards understanding geomechanical variability, controls, and predictability
• Manage well databases and data extraction
• Collaborate with UCOE team and asset team members on the projects integration
• Participate in various projects as needed

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a Canadian post-secondary institution in Canada, and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term
• Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program majoring in Geology or Engineering, with minimum of 3rd year completed
• Familiarity with geological, petrophysical and geomechanical properties
• Knowledge of Petrel and Spotfire would be considered an asset
• The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
