Summary/Objective
Under the direction of the Youth Services Coordinator, the Summer Youth Intern is responsible for reporting to approved worksites to complete summer work assignments. Interns are expected to work for no more than the summer job placement assignment. Work will vary depending on worksite placement. This position is a great place for a first-time job seeker, and all participants will gain valuable on-the-job training and skills to help assist them in their future careers.
Essential Functions
· Report to worksite on-time for each scheduled shift.
· Perform tasks as assigned at worksite by designated worksite supervisor.
· Complete weekly timesheet for worksite supervisor to approve, not to exceed designated hours per week.
· Enter weekly timesheets so time can be entered into ADP for approval
· Actively participate, learn, and ask questions to improve skills.
· Complete any pre-placement and post-placement surveys.
· Communicate as needed with Uplift Harvey team about worksite experiences.
· Complete evaluation form about program at the end of 8 weeks.
· Enroll in financial literacy training.
· Enroll in job skills training.
· Other job duties as assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment/Travel
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works mostly in an environment based on their job assignment.
For those working mostly in an office environment, it will be quiet to moderately loud, depending on the work area. Some local travel may be required. Employee is required to sit, use hands, stand, stoop, walk, talk, and listen while performing duties. General office equipment including personal computers, scanners, copiers, faxes, desk- and smartphones, and software programs.
For those working in the outdoors area environment, it will be moderately to very loud, depending on the work area. Employee is required to sit, use hands, stand, stoop, walk, talk, and listen while performing duties. General equipment including registers, cleaning and sanitation equipment, and PPE may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
It is an administrative support level position required to work a part-time work week, as designated by the CEDA Employee Handbook, including potential evenings, weekends, and odd hours.
