What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise the activities of the Hospital Billing Department related to claims, follow-ups, credits, variances, and denials for hospital-based services
- Develop staffing plans, schedules, and productivity metrics to enhance departmental performance
- Ensure quality assurance and performance management of the billing team
- Coach and develop staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals
- Collaborate with peers and department management to meet objectives set by Patient Financial Services leadership
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a closely related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of supervisory/lead experience in hospital or large physician office billing
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage data collection and analysis
- Proficiency in hospital patient accounting procedures, typically acquired through two years of hospital accounts receivable collection experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
