Overview

THE ROLE:

This position is responsible for Supervision and/or performance of all DC maintenance and housekeeping duties, as well as working with outside vendors to ensure that both the facility and equipment are safe and in top working condition.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

• Monitor and update the Preventive Maintenance schedule to ensure the PM’s are done on all equipment as scheduled.• Supervise and/or perform all as-needed maintenance to ensure that equipment is in top working condition.• Work with the safety specialist on all safety concerns and OSHA issues. Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed, including, but not limited to, Lock-out/Tag-out, PPE, and HOT work permit (welding).• Have a working understanding of high voltage electrical circuits, including three phase connections.• Work with the outside housekeeping vendor to ensure that all sanitation expectations are being met and that all housekeeping supplies are kept in stock.• Monitor and update the spare parts list to ensure that all listed warehouse parts and equipment are kept in stock. Work with accounts payable to order any necessary replacement parts.• Work with vendors to get quotes for any special projects and work with accounts payable to get PO’s and pay invoices.• Work with vendors on all outside inspections and repairs, including, but not limited to, sprinkler system, security cameras, pest control, HVAC, compressor, generator, roofing, telephone, landscaping, recycling services, and material handling equipment repair.• Perform repairs as necessary on all lighting.• Supervise maintenance and housekeeping employees, including maintaining timecards, monitoring attendance, issuing necessary warnings, writing annual reviews, and promoting the four pillars of Great Place to Work.• Work with the DC Director and Managers on inclement weather days to determine the safety of roads.• Be flexible with you schedule to insure DC maintenance coverage and emergencies.• Escalate and communicate all issues and recommended solutions to the DC Director. • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• 5+ years of maintenance experience with; machinery, electrical and plumbing• Safety Oriented• 2 years Supervisor experience preferred• Good mathematical and computer skills• Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision• Ability to organize workload for effective implementation• Strong customer and results orientation• Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity• Ability to function as an effective team member• Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves• PC based software skills • Ability to operator various forklifts, order pickers and scissor lift

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff; supervise/oversee work activities of all outside contract services.

Education• High School Diploma or Equivalent• Associate degree preferred• Apprentice Certification
