      Job Description:

      The Supply Chain Planning Supervisor is instrumental in creating and executing efficient demand and supply planning processes that drive cost-effective and smooth supply chain operations. This role is essential for innovating our approach to forecasting, inventory planning, and production scheduling while collaborating with key stakeholders to align operations with business objectives.


      Key Responsibilities:

      • Lead the SMC WI team to support future growth by optimizing supply chain operations, systems, and planning processes.
      • Create and implement the vision and strategy for supply chain and business planning to align with SMC’s business objectives.
      • Create and implement capacity planning strategies to ensure the organization can meet current and future demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
      • Innovate and streamline the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, facilitating collaboration across departments to drive operational excellence.
      • Facilitate change by challenging the status quo, introducing innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement and operational scalability.
      • Develop and lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business goals.
      • Lead the end-to-end process of demand, supply, and inventory planning to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
      • Mentoring and leading direct report(s) and ability to influence others.
      • Developing decision modeling using business intelligence tools and incorporate into current ERP systems.
      • Identify opportunities with current ERP systems and build tools to address gaps with the current applications that are user friendly.

      Essential Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
      • At least 5-8 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or production scheduling.
      • Strong proficiency with ERP systems and advanced planning software (e.g., IQMS, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
      • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving actionable insights.
      • Proven leadership ability to manage teams, foster collaboration, and guide team development.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Successful history of implementing SIOP, Planning procedures, Business Intelligence tools, and team development across multiple facilities.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
      • 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or production planning, including supervisory or leadership experience in an Injection Molding sector.
      • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) and knowledge of or certified in Demand Driven MRP
      • Proficiency in IQMS, Tableau, Power BI, DDMRP, MRP II, MPS, DRP, and SIOP.
      • Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment.

      ADA Requirements:

      Shop II

      • Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently
      • Occasional repetitive motion and grasping
      • Occasional climbing to reach areas on machines or racks
      • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
      • Typically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
      • Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
