      Position Summary:

      u00A0

      We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to ensure our suppliers consistently deliver high-quality materials and components. The SQE will be responsible for supplier quality management, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role is essential to maintaining high quality for our BESS products, and it involves close collaboration with suppliers, engineering, and quality teams throughout the product lifecycle.

      Responsibilities:

      Supplier Performance Monitoring :

      u00A0

      • Follow up the suppliers Scorecard performance with each supplier
      • Organize weekly meetings for the Worst suppliers.
      • Follow up the improvement plan for the worst suppliers.
      • Plan and organize Onsite Audits for the worst suppliers.
      • Follow up the Audit Action Plan.

      Suppliers Evaluation Process :

      • Plan and organize yearly or quarterly Audits to re-evaluate the suppliers.
      • Follow up the Audit action plan with each supplier.
      • Track and follow up the actionu2019s efficiency.
      • Organize Audits to close the open actions.

      Non-Conformity Management :

      u00A0

      • Follow up the Suppliers NCR and CAR with the Quality Project team.
      • Review the supplieru2019s corrective actions and follow up the actionu2019s efficiency.
      • Organize a weekly NCR follow up with each supplier.
      • Plan an Audit supplier in case of Critical issue or repetitive issue.
      • Follow up the Cost of poor quality.

      Change Management :

      • Implement the Supplier change management process.
      • Review the suppliersu2019 change request.
      • Coordinate between the suppliers and project s , engineering team for change approval.
      • Implement and follow up a change schedule plan.
      • Track and follow up the suppliersu2019 changes.
      • Analyze and change risk.

      Suppliers Audit and Documents Review :

      • Audit the suppliers Annually.
      • FAT Witness on Site / FAT reviews.
      • Audit a supplier in case of critical issues or weak score card.

      Required Qualifications and Skills:

      u00A0

      • Education: Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). Quality certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) are a plus.
      • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role, preferably in the energy storage, automotive, or electronics industries with a focus on batteries or BESS components.
      • Skills:
        • Familiarity with quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans) and problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA).
        • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and standards relevant to BESS.
        • Strong knowledge of quality tools and their usage.
        • Good understanding of root cause corrective actions processes i.e. 8D, A3, or CAR and being able to drive root cause.
        • Strong project management skills.
        • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective supplier management.
        • Proven ability to lead audits, manage corrective actions, and drive quality improvements with suppliers.
      • Additional Requirements:
        • Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed (up to 25% travel).
        • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
        • Proficiency with ERP, MES, and QMS software for tracking and managing supplier performance.
