- Oversee the containment of supplier quality escapes in our manufacturing facilities.

- Ability to build strong business relationships and work collaboratively across multiple functions and regions
- Develop and execute the Supplier Quality Management System Strategy
- Coach and lead suppliers to deliver zero defects, ensuring the supplier has all the relevant prevention and detection skills required. Implements processes to capture and report quality metrics, 8D reporting and other inputs to supplier performance methodologies
- Develops processes, methods and systems to capture supplier quality defects at Cornerstone Building Brands manufacturing locations; implements chargeback policies to supplier based on findings
- Coach suppliers in complying with relevant requirements; ensure material and component specifications are documented and adhered to
- Conducts ongoing supplier audits in accordance with risk profiles and Cornerstone Building Brands quality standards
- Support Strategic Sourcing and Procurement with the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities, quality processes, and other supplier characteristics to ensure success with Cornerstone Building Brands manufacturing requirements
- Partners with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to drive supplier innovation and improvement programs that improve cost/value propositions
- Support new product launches and ongoing material/component qualifications to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, refusing to compromise on issues of quality, professional and behavioral standards
- Demonstrates levels of leadership and influence both internally and at suppliers; ability to partner with Strategic Sourcing, Legal and other internal stakeholders
- Lead and/or facilitate team problem solving for customer and suppliers to find true root cause and develop Permanent Corrective Actions
- Understand that speed matters and is prompt with action and information, willing to make decisions based on calculated risks, and moves issues to closure by driving teams forward
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related industrial
- Master’s degree preferred and MBA a plus
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
- The successful candidate will have at least 8+ years of manufacturing experience in a complex, manufacturing environment and at least 5 years leading product quality
- Proven ability to drive Quality, performance, and cultural transformations.
- Enthusiastic about the value quality brings to the manufacturing process and passionate about keeping technical skills up to date, understanding best practices, and deploying quality systems to achieve goals and targets
- Progressive experience in quality technical field and leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing
- Displays a strong ability to use data to rationally analyze and solve issues, with a solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods for appropriate application and analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff
- Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies
- 3rd party Quality certification (ISO 9001/TS 16949) experience, preferred
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Requires minimal travel (75%)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

As a Supplier Quality Manager, you will provide quality leadership and expertise working with suppliers to develop and deploy the Supplier Quality Management System that drive quality improvement (business results) across all the Business Units.
