- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics concepts for new projects, including material flow, internal transport, line feeding, packaging, and space requirements.
- Calculate logistics costs for new projects/products, ensuring cost efficiency and competitiveness across transport, packaging, warehousing, and inventory costs throughout the value chain.
- Design shop floor layout plans to ensure lean material flow within operations.
- Support plant launches, including new projects and new plants setups.
- Drive continuous process improvement through waste elimination using Value Stream Mapping tools, focusing on reducing logistics costs.
- Standardize and optimize planning tools, logistics equipment, and processes, including containers, storage racks, labels, internal transport vehicles, and line feeding concepts.
- Support the implementation of lean practices, such as Kanban, internal milk runs, automated material handling solutions (AV’s), storage, supermarkets and kitting areas in plants.
- Prepare supply chain data and quotation documents for negotiations with service providers, and track contract terms (e.g., transit lead times, prices, and services).
- Develop packaging and container concepts to meet operational requirements.
- Implement global and regional best practices across all plants within the region to ensure consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated experience in launching new projects, calculation logistics costs and setting up internal material flow including internal transportation, packaging / containers, replenishment of parts to production lines
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience presenting and analyzing data.
- Proficiency in planning and optimization tools and software used in supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically as required for project and plant support
