- Manage third party to the long-term service agreement, by ensuring daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance is tracked, completed and up to standard.
- Manage peak planning and execution for the site, including automation plans, by working cross functionally with internal & external partners.
- Ensure site readiness for building infrastructure, contracted support services, and facility staffing.
- Collaborate with Grocery Outlet Safety and Operations team to ensure a compliant and safe power industrial truck training program.
- Recruit and staff skilled technicians to suit business needs.
- Participate and partner with Ops, Engineering, and 3rd party vendors regarding risk engineering improvements.
- Inventory and validate spare part availability, in partnership with external vendor partners.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver the facility maintenance budget.
- Track and manage site maintenance expenses to budget, including capital and operational expenses.
- Create training and development plans for maintenance and facilities management.
- Coordinate and/or conduct training for facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures, and techniques.
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review work for facility maintenance and system automation.
- Track, audit, and report performance of the material handling equipment to include system up time, rates of production by process path and expenses, in partnership with the Process Engineering Manager.
- Participate in the development of new business capabilities and make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and control supplies and equipment, including ordering supplies and tools as necessary.
- Prepare documents for equipment procurement and prepare specifications and contracts for contract services.
- Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate construction projects, remodels, and other special projects.
- Assist in the preparation of various contracts, requests for proposals, and reports.
- Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 Annually

- Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities or Construction Management required.
- Strong ability to build cross functional relationships with internal & external partners & third-party vendors.
- Proven track record managing a third party/contracted services and all contracts related.
- Trade skills in 3 or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, instrumentation, building construction, conveyor, controls, automation, ASRS, and sortation systems.
- Strong ability to organize and manage project timelines & schedules required.
- Ability to interpret and understand maintenance manuals and electrical equipment schematics.
- Knowledge and experience in industrial electrical and equipment mechanics.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team development.
- Ability to travel as needed.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Director- Supply Chain Strategy & Capabilities, the Supply Chain Facilities Manager role is responsible for large project site build & facilities management responsibilities. The Facilities Manager will establish best methods and routines, ensuring all maintenance management programs and standards are sustained by ensuring contractual obligations are completed to the statement of work, the MHE system availability, MEP improvements and ensuring project & site management demonstrates a high level of excellence. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the installation, repair, and upkeep of the facilities to include building automation systems, HVAC, building lighting, grounds keeping, safety enhancements, facility appearance, and MHE. Lastly, this role will plan, execute, and deliver a budget for maintenance, facility expenses, and equipment.
The successful candidate will have experience managing and negotiating contracted services. They will also have experience building and developing a technician team, interacting with an operational team, and working closely with internal and external partners. A background in leadership with automated manufacturing, distribution, ASRS, robotics and conveyance is required.
