What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with families, volunteers, and Support Group Leaders to establish local support groups
- Act as a liaison between local Support Group leadership and the organization
- Address the needs of families and enhance community understanding of autism
- Assist in creating inclusive opportunities for individuals with autism
- Support the coordination and execution of support group activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma and two years of experience leading family support groups, or a Bachelor’s degree with one year of experience in family support groups
- Ability to pass a background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in nonprofit organizations or community service settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and related challenges
- Passion for supporting individuals with autism and their families
