Job Description

- Conducts systematic and periodic inspection trips to determine maintenance needs and/or compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and contract requirements covering the utilization of state owned or leased assets.
- Completes detailed reports regarding inspection, evaluation and maintenance status which includes recommendation for a plan of action addressing deficiencies. Monitors corrective action to completion through vendor contact and follow-up inspections.
- Makes maintenance recommendations to management concerning assigned properties.
- Ensures a sound working relationship is maintained with other units or programs.
- Enters and retrieves information using computers or other information technology equipment; reviews data and makes routine corrections.
- Advises internal and external partners on agency rules, standards, processes, regulations and laws; provides technical guidance, direction, and training.
- Assists in developing budgetary requirements, policies, and procedures; assists with space acquisition projects in accordance with contract requirements, applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Completes procurement documents, verifies availability, annotates list identifying special requests and class of property; may include emergency P-Card purchases;
- Reviews, evaluates and makes recommendations regarding surplus property.
- Maintains bidder list, product and service information, supplier information, and acquisition records.
- Serves as a liaison and coordinates activities for any internal and external support service including the appropriate authority within the Office of Management & Enterprise Services.
- Responsible for all location assets in assigned areas; ordering, tracking, maintaining, and distribution of assets and supplies.
- Coordination, scheduling, and reserving of available building space.
- Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
- Knowledge of public administration; of the principles of management; of personnel and fiscal management; and of basic statistical and research techniques.
- Skill in maintaining effective and satisfactory working relationships with others; in interpreting and handling routine decisions in accordance with agency policy; in dealing tactfully with internal and external parties.
- Skill in handling confidential work with tact and discretion.
- Knowledge of state leasing standards, state statutes, federal laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines relating to property management; of the methods of project management and planning; and of DHS programs and how they function.
- Ability to work independently and to coordinate a wide variety of activities; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to interpret and apply policies and procedures; and to translate knowledge of programs and processes into practical resolutions for assigned locations.
- Skills required include basic knowledge of computer operating systems and related equipment; of technical terminology; and of modern office practices related to the use of information systems.
- Ability is required to gather, organize and present data effectively.

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Annual Salary: $51,019.37 + Full state benefits
Travel is EXTENSIVE - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Days worked will be Monday through Friday.
GENERAL FUNCTION
Under general direction, performs professional level work involving the inspection, evaluation and maintenance status of assets owned or leased by Oklahoma Human Services in assigned geographical area; this includes serving as a liaison for internal and external support services; guides staff through processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of the curriculum requirements for a baccalaureate degree and two (2) years of professional or technical administrative* experience in business or public administration;
OR: a n equivalent combination of education and experience.
