      OVERVIEW

      Merrick & Company is seeking career and quality minded Survey CAD Technician for challenging projects including all types of Boundary, GPS, Easement/Right of Way, Topographic and As-Built Surveys. Qualified candidates will be responsible for performing survey related research, performing survey calculations, and creating final survey deliverables. Successful candidate will work under direct supervision of a Land Surveyor. This is a full-time position based out of our Chamblee (Atlanta Metro), GA office.

      The typical pay range for this position is $19.18 - $24.23 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.


      WHAT YOU'LL DO

      • Under close direction, perform survey related research using online resources or physical county records, analysis and reduction of field notes, and work with survey coordinate systems and datums.
      • With support, apply survey standards to prepare drawings, descriptions and exhibits on projects with limited complexity.
      • Complete survey drafting tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D for simple property descriptions, monumented land survey plats, topographic and contour maps.
      • Assist in preparation of field packages.
      • Assist in preparation of legal description and exhibits.

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Minimum of one (1) year of land survey office/field experience.
      • Minimum of one (1) year working with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
      • Experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
      • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
      • Knowledge of survey related research.
      • Basic understanding of survey concepts and methodologies such as boundary, GPS, easements, right-of-way, construction layout, design, plan & profile, as-built, land survey plats, topographic maps, and property legal descriptions.
      • Attention to detail, organized, customer focused.
      • Ability to follow schedule, track progress for timesheet and project budget reporting.
      • Good written and verbal communications skills.
      • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in a geospatial field.
