- Build and maintain a high performing IT operations organization that champions thoughtful change and builds favorable partnerships with business leaders, vendors, and customers.
- Advise the leadership team on the bank’s direction related to technology, products, and services
- Willing to provide hands-on help to resolve IT issues impacting clients and/or business
- Improve business processes through technology for business units removing deficiencies by leveraging technology.
- Manage IT operations and resources in the following areas:
- Infrastructure
- Help Desk and Support
- Banking Systems
- Architecture
- Quality Assurance
- Development
- Oversee the development and operation of systems of strong central management, analysis, and IT controls to safeguard the Bank’s operations through the efficient monitoring of IT performance, measures, and analysis of results
- Direct and oversee internal management of IT operations budget review process, costs, and resources for the IT organization, including understanding risks/returns of all sourcing and investment decisions
- Ensure technology platform decisions are forward-looking and right sized to the organization’s needs current and future state. As a community bank, it is vital to provide quality service experiences to our clients and technologies that enable deeper relationships with our clients and associates.
- Identify, Assess, and Manage technology vendor partnerships
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the strategic and implementation approach to all aspects of application development.
- Ability to manage both in-house technology teams and vendor IT relationships
- Compile and review performance indicators to determine department productivity, quality of output, and cost of service; develop methods to continually improve results
- Lead bank’s information technology and computer systems. Duties include assessing current processes, recommending software upgrades, and recommending to executive team on the best processes
- Manage IT vendor relationships, negotiations, and approval of IT vendor
- Manage IT enterprise and applications architecture
- Establish IT policies, strategies, and adhering to regulatory and compliance standards
- Lead technology teams to engage business aligned teams, infrastructure group, and vendors in developing technology/product strategies
- Collaborate with business to identify and streamline business processes with technology
- Partner with business units and clients in IT planning, delivery, and execution
- Oversee initiatives to proactively support knowledge sharing with the technology and business leadership teams
- Motivate staff around long-term vision, strategy, and execution for the IT function
- Provide on-going guidance, mentoring, feedback, and motivation to a staff to ensure competent performance while adhering to department and Fremont Bank policies and procedures
- Experience in Financial Services or other highly regulated industry.
- Vendor management, contract and negotiation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, .NET, TFS, and Confluence
- Cloud strategy, migration, and implementation (infrastructure, platform, software – as a service)
- Experience with Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS)
- Experience with Fiserv Premier and Fiserv technology products
- Experience with Residential Lending technology products (such as Black Knight Financial Services Loansphere and MSP)
- Experience with Commercial Lending technology products (such as nCino)
- Experience with Contact Center technology (preferably Genesys)
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology products (such as Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce)
- Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Experience
- Strong and effective communication skills. Ability to actively follow-up to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Impact speaker. Strong listening skills are a must translating into potential options, recommendations, and solutions.
- Ability to balance workload, identify problem areas, and apply appropriate resources.
- Create and deliver on key performance / success metrics and data on how technology has contributed

Position Overview
The Senior Vice President, Head of Technology Operations provides the leadership for information technology by (1) leading IT operations, development, and implementation across the bank and (2) aligning IT strategy and planning with the bank’s business goals and objectives while delivering measurable value.
This role will report to Executive Vice President, Chief Digital & Technology Officer, as a critical technical thought leader for the organization.
