- Develop and work hands-on to maintain ATP's technological resources to meet operational demands
- Ensure the highest level of systems stability, security, and reliability
- Proactively discover, propose, and implement emerging technologies and best practices that yield a competitive, operational, and financial advantage
- Lead engineering team and align development resources with the goals of the organization
- Manage multiple simultaneous systems development projects from concept to deployment while efficiently working a backlog of development tasks using Agile and Scrum best practices
- Develop, monitor, and report on relevant KPIs, creating and implementing technological strategies to meet established performance goals
- Maintain thorough knowledge of ATP's mission, values, and operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry, company, and departmental developments
- Over 5 years of work experience in enterprise systems architecture and development, with a 4 year degree in computer science or information technology
- Over 2 years of experience effectively leading remote and onsite engineering teams and development projects, from concept to delivery
- Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions
- Excellent communicator with a strategic mindset who can translate business goals and plain language into actionable technology plans and development requirements for engineers
- Mastery of current and emerging technologies and best practices for system infrastructure, security, and stability
- Proven development experience leveraging new technologies, such as cloud computing and machine learning, into existing systems
- Proficient working knowledge and ability to maintain and develop systems using AWS, RDS, Redis, MySQL, CloudFront, Kubernetes, and other services, such as CloudFlare and Twilio
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new coding languages and expansive existing systems
- AWS Certifications, including Solutions Architect and DevOps Engineer, preferred
- Live ATP values and understand the needs of the ATP customer
- Knowledge of aviation is preferred; interest in aviation is required

The role
In your role, you will be responsible for the management, reliability, security, development, and scaling of ATP's technological infrastructure, data, servers, and systems to meet the operational needs of the company and the ATP customer. Leading a growing team of engineers, you will interface with other departments and executives to align technological resources with organization goals; research, communicate, and implement new technology; ensure the continued growth, security, and stability of existing systems; and will rapidly mobilize solutions to solve complex problems.
