      Do you have the passion and talent to lead and train Social Work Practitioners who provide children with a safe and nurturing environment? This is the career for you! This time-limited grant funded position requires working directly with child welfare and adult services staff and community stakeholders. This position will provide programmatic coordination for System of Care services, with a focus on those in need of substance use disorder services, opioid use disorder services and behavioral health care services. Position requires establishing new partnerships and strengthening existing partnerships with service providers to work towards a comprehensive array of services for our customers. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of data for grant reporting purposes, identifying and implementing training needs for all staff and community stakeholders, ensuring proper grant implementation and compliance. Duties will also include coordinating and integrating substance use disorder and other behavioral health/support services, increasing our capacity for coordinated behavioral care, addressing root causes and risk factors by providing trauma-responsive information and training, working with social work staff, and ensuring the customers we serve are connected with needed supportive services. Position requires the ability to lead and motivate others, and evaluate and implement innovative initiatives. Position requires the ability to work effectively in a teamwork setting and maintain a cooperative and effective working relationship with team members, agency leaders and community professionals. Applicants must possess and be able to demonstrate minimum computer skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Master’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a master’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of methods and principles of casework supervision and training. Considerable knowledge of social work principles, techniques and practices and their application to specific casework and community problems. Considerable knowledge of behavioral and socioeconomic problems and their treatment and governmental and private organizations and community resources. Considerable knowledge of the laws, regulations and policies which govern social work programs. Ability to supervise, train, or orient social workers from all levels, students, interns, or other staff. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively


      PREFERENCES : Prefer applicants with an MSW and social work experience in a Department of Social Services (DSS); or a BWS with considerable social work experience in a DSS or a Human Services Related Masters Level Degree (with a substantial amount of social work course work) with experience in a DSS.
