Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to welcome a Systemic Family Psychotherapist to work across our Tier 4 CAMHS service. This will include our C2H team which are a hospital at home-based service and our 10-bed adolescent inpatient unit (Pebble Lodge) based in Westbourne. You will be a valued and integral part of the multidisciplinary team and part of some exciting changes to how Tier 4 works.
The core aspects of this role will be to work directly with families, and to provide systemic supervision, consultation and training for the clinical workforce. Both clinical focus areas are aimed at embedding and maintaining a foundation of systemic thinking to promote stabilisation and transition for families, and to inform the clinical practice and ethos of the Tier 4 teams.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work directly with families and young people who have accessed Tier 4 services because they require the highest level of care, support and safety. It is expected that families will be experiencing a range of intense emotions regarding the admission of the young person, and that the acute care needs require systemic formulation, understanding and intervention to promote stabilisation, communication and transition back into the community. Excellent communication skills and a passion for working in an acute care service is fundamental to the role.
This role is also core to the clinical culture and ethos of the ward. You will work alongside the wider MDT which includes Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Nursing. Together with the team, you will be a passionate champion for working systemically towards effecting positive change for young people and their families, and in identifying appropriate systemic clinical processes to meet the needs of the ward.

About the company
National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
