      Systems Analyst Consultant - VBA

      This is a Remote Position

      EM Key Solutions is seeking a Systems Analyst Consultant to work with our team to support a contract with the Veterans Benefits Administration. The Systems Analyst will serve as a consultant to the contract team supporting Pension Claims Automation by bringing their expertise in Business Process Modeling, systems engineering concepts, and software design concepts.

      Duties:
      • Support the contract team in the following tasks: perform requirements analysis and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources; determine whether the stated requirements are clear, complete, consistent, and unambiguous; reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying actual needs.
      • The consultant shall collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the Automation Effort's structure, policies, and operations and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its automation goals.
      • Support the contract team in evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering improvement areas, and recommending solutions.
      • Stay current on the latest processes and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
      • Communicate and collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders to analyze information needs, business systems, and functional requirements.
      • Experience developing and interpreting the following artifacts:
        • Functional requirements
        • Business requirements documentation
        • Written business requirements
        • Requirements traceability matrix

      Required Qualifications:
      • Excellent communication skills.
      • Experience with Business Process Modeling
      • Experience documenting and analyzing business rules and requirements.
      • Understanding of Software/Systems Engineering and Software Design Concepts.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Competency in Microsoft tools, including collaboration applications within Office 365.

      Desired Qualifications:
      • Experience with IBM's Blueworks Live business process management tool is advantageous.
      • Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically in Pension Claims Processing, is desired.
      • Experience with Jira and Confluence collaboration tools.

      Clearance:

      The selected candidate must successfully pass a thorough Government background investigation (NACI). Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
