      The Systems Analyst I will work with a group of departments with like solutions and capabilities, known as a community of interest, to define, recommend and implement software solutions that meet the business needs of departments/agencies and contribute to meeting department goals and objectives through technology solutions.

      The Selected Candidate will:

      • Analyze, design, and maintain information systems; assist senior analysts and consults with management and users to determine the needs of the system.
      • Research current technologies in software solutions to recommend meeting user problems and business needs.
      • Work closely with stakeholders to complete requirements lifecycle management process, including analysis, elicitation, definition, traceability, specifications, documentation, and business process modeling for both current and future states.
      • Document functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for solutions; review existing applications to define core and enhanced functionality requirements, as well as data and reporting requirements; develop and prepare design documents, implementation packages, troubleshooting guides, and corrective actions.
      • Define and develop test plans. Scenarios, test scripts /cases, and manage the artifacts within the quality assurance framework.
      • Provision, document, stage, and implement new application packages.
      • Develop diagrams and flowcharts for system design under direction of the solutions manager and prepare information systems documentation.
      • Configure existing software to meet or improve business operations, consolidate programs, reduce complexity, or otherwise improve operations; review current business processes and assists with improved operations through integration and business process re-engineering.
      • Assist users with data and reporting requirements, and designs report formats to satisfy user needs.
      • Research the capability of various systems; participate in the testing and troubleshooting of programs and systems; execute tests and observe behaviors of the system to validate performance.
      • Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge, and physical requirements as demanded by those duties as described. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on current workloads and department needs.
