Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Partner provides significant value to our growing brand by sourcing and staffing qualified restaurant managers, chefs and general managers. As a key business partner to leadership, this role contributes to the overall planning and execution of the internal growth trajectory for Jim ‘N Nick’s Team Members.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, this multi-state, multi-unit regional recruiting position is primarily responsible for restaurant management, along with supporting hourly team member recruiting and staffing. The Talent Acquisition Partner will implement recruitment and sourcing strategies to meet the hiring plans of restaurants and be responsible for identifying and escalating process improvement projects and best practices.
Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Understands and promotes the Jim ‘N Nick’s culture, stays abreast of people strategies and competitive industry practices, shares and recommends best practices to benefit the organization.
• Partners with the Sr. Manager to plan, implement and sustain a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy.
• Contributes to the creation of innovative programs, events and campaigns to generate brand awareness, build candidate pipeline and highlight opportunities to drive strategy and promote an employer of choice environment.
• Supports the development of a market-by-market strategy to meet/achieve hiring objectives utilizing a wide range of sources and methods.
• Manages the recruiting process for management; source, screen, qualify, interview, make hiring and compensation recommendations and track results.
• Assists with marketing initiatives, collateral that support and define our internal candidate growth path.
• Conducts all appropriate candidate checks including but not limited to assessments, background check and reference checks.
• Promotes Jim ‘N Nick’s as the employer of choice to all potential candidates by providing information regarding the Company, culture, benefits, and opportunity.
• Identifies best practices and manages recruiting processes, applicant tracking system (“ATS”), job fair participation, recruiting collateral, referral program and social media.
• Evaluates, analyzes, and reports talent acquisition statistics including time to fill, cost per applicant/hire, source, diversity, best practices, and turnover.
• Drives continuous process improvements in a demanding and rapidly changing business environment.
• Travel as needed to support job fairs, in-market initiatives and New Restaurant Openings (“NRO”) schedules.
• Partners with Human Resources team to support initiatives and strategy.
• Performance measures include time to fill, budget, percentage staffed and retention rates.
Qualifications Education/ Training/ Work Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
required.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years in restaurant recruiting required with broad knowledge of employment laws and recruiting concepts, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Software Package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Multi-state and restaurant operations and recruiting industry experience preferred.
• Restaurant Operations experience desired.
• AIRS and/or ASA Certifications preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to plan and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of principles, practices and standards of recruitment, retention, and employee relations principles.
• Experience utilizing social media recruiting strategies.
• Able to demonstrate the ability to think creatively to develop innovative recruitment strategies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills.
• Must have strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with HRIS/ATS software packages required.
• Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and manage multiple and changing timelines; multi-task with limited supervision while meeting established timelines.
• High level of interpersonal skills.
• Deliver results for which he/she is accountable.
• Dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of
confidentiality.
• Maintains high standards of personal ethics; is consistently honest and truthful in all situations.
Requirements
• Up to 25% travel, as needed to support job fairs, in-market initiatives and New Restaurant Openings (“NRO”) schedules.
• Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, etc. as well as visit Jim ‘N Nick’s locations, vendors, etc.; therefore, he/she must be able to travel autonomously, possibly to other geographical locations, innclement weather, with minimal notification when needed.
• Must be able work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental, and emotional level; this includes performing work in a fast-paced manner and making timely decisions.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and work in an office environment and the ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move freely using all limbs.
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
