What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage group and catering accounts to maximize business potential
- Negotiate group and catering business contracts to meet or exceed hotel revenue goals
- Actively pursue new clients through innovative sales techniques and prospecting
- Conduct site inspections and create WOW experiences for clients
- Collaborate with hotel operations to provide exceptional customer experiences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of hotel sales and/or catering experience
- Certification in Marriott's CI/TY system required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of computer processing systems
- Ability to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in sales and/or catering specifically within the hotel industry
- Familiarity with Marriott brands and their operational standards
- Proven ability to develop creative sales strategies
- Strong leadership capability and customer relations skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education preferred
