THE JOB:

Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of tax accounting and make an impact? As a Tax Accountant, you’ll work closely with one of the Company’s Tax Managers, playing a key role in preparing federal income tax returns and provisions. Bring your passion for numbers and problem-solving to this exciting opportunity!

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Work with teams across the Company to gather essential information for preparing calculations of book/tax differences. Your detective skills will shine here!

• Prepare partnership tax return workpapers and master the art of Form 1065, the U.S. Partnership Return of Income.

• Calculate temporary book/tax differences, tackling prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, investments, progressive jackpots, and leases—all vital pieces in the federal consolidated tax puzzle.

• Dive into permanent book/tax differences like meals and entertainment, employee parking, lobbying expenses, and more to ensure accuracy in federal consolidated returns and provisions.

• Develop lead schedules that support the Company’s federal consolidated return, focusing on partnership investments, amortization, tax credits, and Section 163(j).

• Assist in preparing Nevada commerce tax returns and showcase your expertise.

• Contribute to state income tax compliance efforts and support tax accounting for fixed assets—this is your chance to grow and learn in the tax field!

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or equivalent experience.

• 1+ years of prior relevant experience in accounting/audit.

• Strong organizational skills to function effectively while still maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines
