- Responsible for assisting accounting team with day-to-day tax accounting operations, specifically surrounding indirect tax compliance
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual domestic and international sales tax returns
- Maintain and monitor sales tax software for appropriate performance; raise issues or errors to appropriate team members
- Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes for worldwide tax accounts, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare business license returns, annual reports, activity returns, and other miscellaneous returns
- Participate in documentation and information requests for annual audits
- Implement, adhere to, and assist in revisions to system of internal controls as directed by Controller
- Special (income tax focused) projects as assigned
- Thrives in a fast-changing environment with a high willingness to learn
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a tax accounting role
- Demonstrate advanced analytical skills using Microsoft Excel, and capable of handling large sets of data
- Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of simultaneous tasks (multi-tasking), demonstrating initiative, dependability and self-direction to complete projects within expected deadlines
- Experience preparing, analyzing and filing sales and use taxes (preferred)
- Prior experience working with an e-commerce or retail business (preferred)
- Prior experience with Avalara, Shopify, and Netsuite or other ERP systems (preferred)

The Role
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment.
This position has flexibility to be either a full-time or part-time role.
This role is required to be onsite in Boise, Idaho.
