What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Participate in complex contract planning, development, and implementation, maintaining grant contract files according to agency procedures
- Track the status of contract initiation, development, approval, and execution, and generate reports on contract progress
- Administer and coordinate changes and liquidations of contracts, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Assist in developing and maintaining approved contract templates for the grant program
- Review and screen grant applications for completeness and eligibility, and assist in the processing of these applications

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus one year of full-time experience in contracting or purchasing, OR five years of full-time experience in contracting or purchasing
- Must obtain the Texas Contract Manager Certification (CTCM) within twelve (12) months of hire date
- Experience with contract or grant administration
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a government contracting environment
- Familiarity with grant application processes and procedures
- Certification in contract management or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of state and federal grant regulations
